Department – Industry Consultative Board (DICB) for the year 2024

The ''Department-Industry Consultative Board'' for the year 2024 of the Department of Mechanical Engineering was held successfully on August 14, 2024, at Conference Hall, Faculty of Engineering, KDU, Ratmalana. Industry specialists representing a wide scope of industries participated in the DICB 2024, along with academic staff from renowned universities in Sri Lanka. The objective of this DICB 2024 was to focus on ''Mechanical and Mechatronic Degree Curriculum''.

Mr. PRA Dissanayake (Lecturer (Prob), DoME) welcomed all the honourable invitees to the DICB 2024. He handed over the forum to Commander (E) UMSG De Silva (Head of the Department, Department of Mechanical Engineering) to give briefing on Department. A briefing on BScEngHons in Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering programmes were presented by respective programme coordinators. The panel discussion was mainly focused on the revised curriculum of 130 academic credits. DICB 2024 concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. WVPP Madhumali (Lecturer (Prob) / Level 2 coordinator – Mechatronic Engineering, DoME).

Undermentioned distinguished professionals representing the Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Army, Industries and academic experts from the University of Moratuwa, Open University of Sri Lanka, SLIIT Malabe Campus, and Wayamba University of Sri Lanka attended DICB 2024.
