The Annual General Meeting (AGM) serves as a pivotal event for any organization, symbolizing a convergence of vision, cooperation, and progress. Recently, the Students for the Exploration & Development of Space Chapter of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University held their AGM for the year 2024/2025. This momentous event took place on the 2nd of September 2024 at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Auditorium - KDU and was a celebration of past achievements while charting a course for the future, promising innovation and empowerment.

The AGM provided a platform to honor the inventive spirit of the organization, marking the inauguration of the club’s new executive committee. The event was graced by many distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest, Dr. Kavan Ratnatunga, Vice President of the Sri Lanka Numismatic Society and the Archaeological Society of Sri Lanka. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Eng. Thushara Weerawardane, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Heads of Departments, and several board members of SEDS Sri Lanka.

A significant milestone of the AGM was the appointment of new members to the SEDS KDU executive committee. It also served as an occasion to appreciate the dedication and contributions of the outgoing committee members.

The AGM concluded on a high note, symbolizing a seamless transition of leadership and a renewed commitment to SEDS KDU’s mission. As the society embarks on its next chapter, its efforts will continue to be guided by the vision of pushing boundaries and exploring new frontiers.
