Final Year Project Exhibition 2021 is showcasing best projects completed in the year 2020 by undergraduates of Faculty of Engineering, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. Altogether thirty-eight captivating projects covering nine engineering disciplines will be presented in an interactive online platform. Projects that are having more industry relevance, include novel product development or include in-depth engineering research are selected to present.
Students and academics who seek for new knowledge and novel ideas, industry representatives and all interested individuals and parties, you all are invited!
Winners of the Exhibition
- 1st Place : “Effect of humans due to the deposition of heavy metals in Weras ganga” conducted by Miss IE Vidyananda, supervised by Dr Methsiri Samarakoon.
- 2nd Place: “A method combining physical, chemical and biological processes to treat leachate generated from dumpsites” conducted by Miss DMA Devindi, supervised by Dr Methsiri Samarakoon.

Exhibits are displayed using videos shared through Zoom. Each exhibit is accessible through one breakout room. Owners of each exhibit are also available in the breakout room for your questions and comments. Our sessions are listed below:
Our Sessions
You are welcome to register for all sessions. You may as well select the relevant field of engineering from above sessions and register to that session. After registering, you will receive an email with login details to the Zoom meeting. On the date of the exhibition, you can join anytime during 0900hrs to 1200hrs to the registered session. After joining the session, communicate with the host and let them know which breakout room you would like to enter. You can exit a breakout room anytime and join another breakout room to experience another exhibit. Hosts will help you with any clarification. The breakout room number for each exhibit is shown at the bottom below:
