A successful five-day webinar was conducted for the Department of Marine Engineering at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University by ARK Infosolution Pvt. Ltd., India. The sessions, held on the 10th, 11th, 18th, 19th, and 24th of September 2024, focused on advancing the knowledge of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering undergraduates.
The resource persons for the webinar were Mr. Chetan Patil, Application Engineer – Ansys, and Mr. Surjith Baig, Application Engineer – Ansys. Their presentations provided valuable insights into the latest simulation technologies and their applications in marine engineering. The sessions were coordinated by Mr. Rohit Sangwan, Tech Lead at ARK Infosolution Pvt. Ltd., and LCdr (E) Chathumal Chandrasiri, Lecturer (Probationary) at the Department of Marine Engineering.
Additionally, the webinar was extended to include the Director Naval Design, Sri Lanka Navy, with representatives from the Sri Lanka Navy actively participating. This collaboration fostered a shared learning environment, benefiting both students and professionals.
The event concluded successfully on the 24th of September 2024, leaving participants with enhanced knowledge and tools to apply Ansys simulation software in marine engineering. The coordination and expertise shared made it a highly impactful educational experience.
