The 10th National Scout Jamboree was held in Trincomalee, from 20th to 26th February 2024. It was an exclusive gathering of Scouts, where it jubilated unity, leadership, and the great outdoors.
The Faculty of Engineering at Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) proudly showcased its innovation and commitment to excellence at the 10th National Scout Jamboree exhibition. With a rich tradition of academic prowess and a dedication to serving the nation, KDU's Engineering Faculty stood out as a beacon of ingenuity and progress in the midst of one of the nation's most celebrated scouting events.
Projects, "Brainwave Controlled Smart Wheelchair" from Mechatronics Engineering degree program, "Development of a Wearable System for Post-stroke Walking Rehabilitation" and "Assistive Variable Color Temperature Background LED Light System for Operation Theatres" from Biomedical Engineering degree program and Allison 250 series Aircraft Engine cut model from Aeronautical Engineering degree program were displayed and demonstrated to the scouts and other participants. The Faculty of Engineering demonstrated its commitment to addressing real-world challenges, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and nurturing the next generation of engineering leaders.
As the jamboree came to a close, the Faculty of Engineering at Kotelawala Defence University emerged not only as a proud participant but also as a symbol of excellence, innovation, and service to the nation.
