Honourable Premitha Bandara Tennakoon (LLB (Hons) UK LLM Australia) the State Minister of Defence made an official visit to General Sir John Kotelawala Defence university on 08th February 2024.
Following his visit to the Faculty of Engineering, he observed some laboratories including High Voltage Laboratory, Huawei Innovation Laboratory, Aeronautical Engineering Laboratory, Marine Engineering Laboratory and Automobile Engineering Laboratory at the premises.
The Faculty of Engineering is one of the largest Faculties at KDU which consists of six Departments and an Industrial Training Unit catering for around 900 undergraduates. The Faculty was established in 2011 and strives to maintain highest standards of education for the officers, officer Cadets from the tri-services and Day Scholars to be readily employable in the industry...
