The Final Year Research Exhibition of intake 34, Faculty of Engineering, General Sir John Kotelawala defence University was held on the 25th March 2021 in a virtual platform with the participation of selected best projects spanning out among nine engineering disciplines.
From the department of Aeronautical Engineering three novel researches were presented to the general public and industry invitees. Both streams of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering was covered through the exhibits in following specializations.
- Design and Optimization of an active flow control method to optimize the aerodynamic performance of an airfoil in a compressible flow.
- Feasibility analysis of Airframe Life Revalidation Program for aging aircraft fleet of Sri Lankan Air Force
- Implementation of SMS for effective waste management in maintenance organizations
The researches were supervised by the senior academic staff of the department with versatile industry as well as academic insight.
The event was honored with the gracious presence of Major General MP Peiris the Vice Chancellor of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
