IET On Campus KDU Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 10, 2024, marked a significant leadership transition. New board members received badges, and outgoing members were awarded certificates.

The event featured keynote speaker, Dr. Tharaka Mohotty, the Chairman of IET Sri Lanka, was the keynote speaker for the AGM. Dr. Mohotty, with over 38 years of experience in television broadcasting and multiple awards, including the Asia-Pacific Broadcast Union’s Broadcast Engineering Excellence Award, shared his extensive knowledge of digital broadcasting and insights from his illustrious career. His contributions greatly enriched the event, providing invaluable perspectives to all attendees.

Distinguished guests included Vice Chancellor Rear Admiral HGU Dammika Kumara, Deputy Vice Chancellor Major General DCA Wickramasinghe. Also in attendance were the Dean of Faculty of Engineering , along with senior professors, faculty coordinators and lecturers.

Outgoing president of IET on campus KDU Cadet Sergeant RL Senerath and incoming president Sahan Premachandra addressed attendees, emphasizing achievements and future goals. Entertainment included performances by the Beige Band and a traditional Pooja dance.

Newly appointed Secretary Dinethya Bandara expressed gratitude to all contributors, setting a strong foundation for future initiatives and reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to advancing engineering and technology at KDU.
