A solution for fuel crisis

The department of Marine Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University always focus on finding sustainable solutions for the crisis that overwhelms society. Accordingly, realizing the impact of the fuel crisis at present, a project team of the department manufactured a low-cost tri-cycle that can be used to cater to transportation needs within short distances. This was manufactured according to a concept of Commodore (E) MCP Dissanayake MSc (ME) (Australia), BTech Mech Eng, CEng(India), MIE(India), AMIE(SL) of the Department of Marine Engineering as a initial step of solar powered electric tricycle
