The MRES Members had an Opportunity to Participate to the Boat Show 2023 at Port City
Upon the directive of our Head of the Department, and under the management of the Marine engineering Society of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, as eager undergraduate students from our University's Naval Architecture degree program, our recent visit to the boat show which was conducted on 27th to 29th October 2023 at Port City, Colombo, Sri Lanka was an enlightening experience. The event brought together a myriad of maritime enthusiasts, professionals, and industry giants, providing us with a unique opportunity to delve into the world of naval architecture.
Our attention was immediately drawn to renowned companies like Neil Marine, Chalana Craft, Colombo Dockyard, and the Sri Lanka Navy. Exploring the booths of these industry leaders allowed us to witness firsthand the cutting-edge technologies, innovative designs, and state-of-the-art vessels that are shaping the maritime landscape.
Neil Marine, a stalwart in the industry, showcased their commitment to excellence in boat manufacturing. The meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail in their exhibits left an indelible impression on us, emphasizing the importance of precision in naval architecture.
