Prof. Sudarman Upali Adikary
Prof. Adikary is a Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Moratuwa. He completed his Bachelors in the field of Materials Engineering from University of Moratuwa. He received his Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Shanghai University, Shanghai, P.R. China and his Doctor of Philosophy from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. He is also a Chartered Engineer and a Corporate member at Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka.
Dr. Thusitha Sugathapala
Dr. Thusitha Sugathapala is a Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering of the University of Moratuwa; and a Chartered Engineer. He obtained the BSc Engineering Degree from University of Moratuwa (UoM) and PhD from University of Cambridge. He served as the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UoM, the Director General of Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority, founding Director of Enterprise, the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and University-Business Linkages of UoM and President of Clean Air Sri Lanka. Dr. Sugathapala’s key research areas of interest cover energy, transport, environment, and sustainable development.
Dr. Tharindu Samarasinghe
Dr. Tharindu Samarasinghe is a Mechanical Engineer and a researcher currently working as a Director/ Mechanical Design Lead Engineer at Building Services Engineering Consultant (Pvt) Ltd, Sri Lanka. He received his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London and his Doctor of Philosophy from University of Melbourne. His research interests include Sustainable and Renewable Energy and Building Services Engineering.
Dr. Chathura R. de Silva
Dr. Chathura R. de Silva is a senior lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Moratuwa (UoM). He has also held the position of Director at the Centre for Instructional Technology at UoM. Dr. Chathura completed his PhD at the National University of Singapore after acquiring a Master of Engineering at Nanyang Technological University. In addition to his contribution to research, he has served as a consultant in many ICT development projects in both the government and private sector. His research interests are computer vision, embedded systems and autonomous vehicles.
Dr. K. Jayawickrama C. Kumara
Dr. K. Jayawickrama C Kumara is a senior lecturer at the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, University of Ruhuna. Dr. Jayawickrama completed his PhD in Asia Pacific Studies upon acquiring multiple master’s degrees in a variety of fields, including Industrial Automation, International Material Flow Management and International Cooperation Policy. He has experience both as an engineer in the industry and as an academic. His research interests are wireless sensor networks and industrial automation, among others.
