Undergraduates of BSc Eng in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering degree program visited the Colombo Dockyard PLC on 16^th September 2022. The purpose of this visit was to gain an experience on dockyard practices, field related awareness and to understand opportunities in the field level. 

Undergraduates were welcomed by the Head of Training center where a brief description was delivered about the Dockyard, Primary Tasks and functions. Further, undergraduates visited the Metal Workshop, Engine Fitting Workshop, Hull treatment Workshop, Machining workshop, Graving Dock facility and Unit Assembling area, accompanied by the CDL training staff. A post question and answer session was also allotted to clarify students’ queries.

The session was concluded delivering thanks to the organization and with an avenue opened to visit the designing section of the Dockyard.
