Curriculum Development Committee

The Curriculum Development Committee (CDC) has been established to revise, review and regulate curriculums of degrees offered by the faculty of engineering. The committee works in close collaborations with all departments to ensure standards of all nine degree programs meet quality requirements specified by the Institutions of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). As per the accreditation guidelines of IESL, CDC had developed Eight Academic semester plan and it has been implemented from intake 35 onwards.

The CDC composition is a chairperson, heads of departments and a representative for each degree program. The chairperson and representatives are appointed annually by the faculty board for tenor of one year. The CDC committee meets monthly to discuss matters pertaining to the curriculums of all degree programs.
