We are proud to announce that Ms. D.A. Oshadhi, an outstanding student of the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, has been awarded the Emerging Civil Engineer Award 2024. This is a competition organized by the student chapter of the Institute of Engineers, Sri Lanka, annually. Her innovative presentation on Nano Shield: A sustainable leap for Sri Lanka's infrastructure, remarks a prestigious accolade, which celebrates innovation, dedication, and future leadership in civil engineering. The Grand Finale was held on 26th April 2025 at the INSEE i2i Collaboration Space.
Ms. Oshadhi’s exceptional work and innovative thinking throughout the competition distinguished her among the brightest young minds from across the country. Her achievement stands as a testament to the high standards of academic excellence and professional development upheld by KDU.
